FIT DAY FAQ’s

• Fit Days are days set aside for athletes to get fitted and sized for the latest in hardgood equipment (skis, boots, etc.)  Discounted pricing is available at these session and usually runs at wholesale or a few percentages above wholesale pricing.  Fit Days are primarily geared to the experienced Alpine ski racer.  There is some energy to get more comprehensive fit sessions for snowboard and freestyle participants. 
• Snowboard - Fit sessions for Bromley Outing Club riders will be conducted at Podium Snowboard Shop in Manchester.  Fit session dates to be announced soon.
• Freestyle - Equipment needs for Freestyle participants will be directed through the Bromley Outing Club with discounted pricing available through the Bromley Shop.
• All Weekend Program participants can get discounted hardgoods through the Bromley Shop.   If not in stock, appropriate equipment sizes can be ordered pre-season.  Ordering must be done in October to ensure arrival by the start of the season.  I encourage folks to utilize the Bromley Shop, for equipment needs, whenever possible.  Also, equipment mounting and repair can be done through the Bromley Shop at reasonable rates.  Let’s keep as much business at home as possible.
• Important....Many folks have participated in past Fit Days and know the ropes.  For those who have any questions or concerns, please call the Bromley Outing Club.  It is very important to make informed decisions when purchasing new gear.   The correct type and size of equipment is crucial for the athlete to fully develop his/her abilities and skills.
• Club Swap...We will be working on an opportunity for folks to clean out the attics and basements and recoup some of their investments on skis, snowboards, etc.  Understandably, the cost of equipment does make outfitting a young athlete a challenge.  If we can make gently used equipment available, everyone can save some $. 

FIT DAYS (Columbus Day Weekend, 2008)

•  Southern Vermont Council Fit Day, Mt Snow ,Saturday, Oct. 11^th, 1:00 –  4:00pm…  This Fit Day is designed to accommodate folks who have had difficulty getting to the Statewide VARA fit day at Okemo Mountain in Sept.  It is the hopes that, in the future, there will be a Northern, Mid, and Southern Vermont fit day to accommodate the majority of equipment needs.  For those driving up from points south, the Mt. Snow fit day could be very convenient.  The session will take place at the Mount Snow Training Center.  Oktoberfest is also taking place so there should be a number of activities.  Equipment manufacturers in attendance:  Lange, Dynastar, Atomic, Rossignol, Head, Sski, Volkl.....                                                                                                                             Click here for flyer.

• Staring Gate Fit Day, Bondville, VT. (just passed Stratton Access Road) Saturday, Oct. 11^th, 9:30 – 1:00pm.   This Fit Day is the closest to home and will have a number of folks present with boot fitting and ski sizing information and knowledge.  Manufacturers represented are:  Lange, Dynastar, Head, Elan, Fischer, Nordica, Dalbello.

• Equipe Sports Manufacturer's Race Fit Session, Rawsonville, VT. (junction of routes 30 and 100), Sunday, October 12th, 1:00 - 5:00pm.  For those who cannot make the Saturday events, this will be another opportunity for expert advice and discounts.  Manufacturers represented are:  Technica, Nordica, Volkl, Rossignol, Blizzard, Marker, Salomon, Lange, Leki, Swix, Oakley, Zeal, Anon, Uvex, Shred, Poc, Boeri, and more...                                                                                              Click here for flyer.
